Shop & Fleet Maintenance Technician

We are a well-established, specialty restoration organization with a carefully selected team. Our business is a fast-paced, around the clock operation providing Crime & Trauma Scene Services throughout the lower mainland.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-3 years of previous automotive experience and/ or education
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
  • Must possess knowledge of technical repairs and procedures
  • Ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions
  • Self-Starter, takes initiative
  • Desire to “Fix it right the first time” attitude
  • Eye for Detail
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
  • Ability to work alone
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Basic mechanical knowledge of vehicles and appliances
  • Strong constitution

This self-motivated candidate will work out of our Tilbury office, identifying and developing a management plan for our warehouse and fleet and executing the program, involving a combination of:

Duties Include:

  • Perform maintenance requirements in accordance to manufacturer guidelines
  • Diagnose and report existing conditions and additional repairs to the appropriate parties
  • Communicate with team regarding vehicle condition
  • Perform maintenance requirements in accordance to manufacturer guidelines

  • Record and maintain detailed record of fleet maintenance and service
  • Remain up to date on manufacturer technical knowledge
  • Assist in housekeeping of the shop and keep your bay clean

Supported by the Operations Manager, the Shop & Fleet Maintenance Technician contributes to the operational efficiency of the shop by performing waste management, inventory, janitorial and vehicular maintenance and management. An opportunity for a flexible schedule may be presented for the right candidate who demonstrates exceptional initiative and organizational skills.
